Corporate Location
The
historic and magnificent surroundings of the Ballywalter Park Mansion
House, built between 1846 and 1870 and home of the 6th Baron Dunleath
provide a truly different venue for those seeking somewhere special
to hold their corporate or other prestigious event.
In past years, the glittering and spacious main reception rooms
played host to grand house parties and Royal visits, with the Duke
& Duchess of York – later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth
coming to stay in 1924 and the Duke & Duchess of Gloucester
in 1935.
Now these rooms adapt easily to the needs of those seeking to organise
a corporate dinner, a conference, a product launch or an incentive
event. Indeed the possibilities are endless.
Whilst we appreciate that you will want to come and see for yourself
just what makes Ballywalter Park so different as a venue, here is
a synopsis of what is on offer.

The Demesne
The
immediate surrounding demesne extends to approximately 270 acres,
with 30 acres of pleasure grounds around the Mansion House. The
grounds provide a perfect location for corporate outdoor pursuits
and the Ballywalter Park team will be glad to offer advice and make
arrangements tailored to your particular requirements.
Catering
We
pride ourselves in our philosophy of preparing all food in-house,
using only the freshest ingredients sourced from the Ballywalter
Park Estate and from the Walled Garden, and with meats carefully
selected from a local butcher and fish and shellfish sourced directly
from the nearby fishing port of Portavogie and from Strangford Lough.
The Ballywalter Park shoot ensures a plentiful supply of game in
season.
The preparation and service of food is personally supervised by
our own Food Historian, Vibse Lunn, and our team are dedicated to
make each luncheon or dinner a very special event.
Lord Dunleath selects the wines and ports to accompany the menus
from the extensive, traditional cellars beneath the house. A large
and varied stock is replenished through judicious purchasing from
Merchants’ opening offers of Clarets and Burgundies, buying
at auction at Sotheby’s and from a personal visit each year
to the wine growing regions of France.
Accommodation
For those seeking an overnight stay, Ballywalter Park offers 9 double and 2 twin bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and one further double bedroom with a private bathroom.
General
Naturally, clients will have exclusive use of the Ballywalter Park
Mansion House during their stay. A policy decision has been made
to decline wedding receptions and casual dining/overnight bookings,
thus to further enhance the special nature of this magical place.
Every event is personally supervised by Lord Dunleath and Vibse
Lunn, who would be delighted to offer you a tour of Ballywalter
Park and to discuss and advise on your requirements.
