We found this wonderful cider in Normandy with a fantastic link to Belfast. We drove miles along tiny Normandy lanes to find M. Mahieu. He produces a Titanic cider because his father worked on the tender Ingenieur Minard at Cherbourg. It was of course the SS Nomadic which was built at Harland & Wolf tendered for the Titanic on its stop at Cherbourg on the maiden journey. This is called Cidre bio Le Pere Mahieu Titanic. Once the Walled Garden produces apples, I’m going to learn to make cider like M. Mahieu.
