This week we’ve had Mind the Gap Productions from Dublin filming with us. We’re part of a series being made about Irish houses and the food that was served in them. Our repast was an Edwardian dinner based on our own menus from 1902. So Tuesday night we donned our glad-rags, had drinks in the drawing room, while 3 chefs cooked and carved their way through 10 dishes, served as 3 courses.
Derry Clarke carving!
For a food historian like me it was a great occasion, even if the boiled chicken looked like an alien devouring all the vegetables.
